Yaya's Seminars

To continue supporting our Yayas in caring for our young children, we will have our 2nd offering for the Yaya Development Series for this school year. It is entitled…

"Dilang Anghel"

This seminar will focus on young children’s language development. The speakers will share language stimulation techniques that the yayas may use while interacting with the children daily especially during play.

You may choose to send your yayas on January 28, 2010, 8:30 – 11:30AM OR January 29, 2010, 1:30 – 4:30PM. The fee for the yaya seminar is P350pesos. The speakers will be Teacher Jojie Perocho, Teacher Kariza Borja-Hubalde and Teacher Mark Tan. This seminar-workshop is open to yayas of Non-Explorations children.

Trainers: Didi Manahan, Marian Araneta and Agnes Marcelo are graduates of Bank Street College of Education, New York with degrees in Masters in Science in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, Joe Sibayan and Lisette Fajardo are graduates of University of Asia and the Pacific and the University of the Philippines with degrees specializing in Early Childhood Education. All of them have had several years of teaching locally and abroad and have conducted various seminars and workshops for early childhood educators. They are also curriculum consultants and co-proprietors of Explorations Preschool and Keys Grade School.

Explorations offer various Teacher Training Modules on a range of topics such as Best Practices in Preschool Classrooms, Curriculum Planning, Literacy in Preschool, Math and Science in Preschool, Art, Music and Movement, Fieldtrips, Positive Discipline and Classroom Management, Fostering Parent Partnerships, Assessment and many more. The seminars are brought to different schools and venues throughout the country and can be adapted to various settings and educational methodologies.
